Privacy policy
This policy explains what happens with your data when you visit haasje.net and its subdomains (including whatsmyip.haasje.net).
Who is responsible
Jelle, haasje.net, the Netherlands. Contact: contact@haasje.net.
What I collect myself
- Server logs. Like every web server, mine records your IP address, the requested URL, a timestamp and your browser's user-agent. On whatsmyip.haasje.net the country derived from your IP address is also logged. I use this only for security, troubleshooting and aggregate statistics, and I keep it no longer than needed for those purposes. Legal basis: legitimate interest (keeping the service secure and working).
- The IP lookup. The service shows you your own IP address and request headers. That information is sent back to you and is not sold or shared.
- Cookies. The site itself does not set cookies and does not use analytics trackers.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
The guides can show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies, and may process your IP address and device information, to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud. Where applicable, this can include personalised advertising based on your earlier visits to this and other sites.
- In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, ads that use cookies are only personalised after you give consent in the consent message. Without consent, Google only shows non-personalised ads, or none.
- You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the "Privacy settings" link in the footer of every page.
- You can manage personalised ads in Google Ad Settings and learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- You can also opt out of interest-based ads from many providers at youronlinechoices.com.
Who receives data
Google (as an advertising and consent-management provider) and my hosting infrastructure. I do not sell personal data.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Send a request to contact@haasje.net. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Children
This site is not aimed at children and I do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If I change this policy, the date at the top changes too.
